The Weekend Run

I always get excited each weekend to finally take a break from working on projects and play some video games. Usually though my weekend fills up with projects that involve working on my house and shopping with the wife. Not this weekend! I will get a chance to finally take a look at Prince of Persia on my PS3 along with the new Killzone 2 DLC that came out this week. I know C4RRnage also has a copy of Prince of Persia which I will encourage him to play so we can do a segment on it in the podcast.

Steam Gets DLC

The arrival of in-game downloadable content on Steam was announced yesterday on their news feed. This gives developers and publishers the ability to sell additional content to gamers. Many PC gamers will argue that these types of content updates (maps, skins, models, characters etc) should be free since most have been in the past. There is really no difference however between DLC and expansion packs as long as the content is fairly priced for the value it adds to the game.
